SquidGee™ Dry Basement Waterproofing System can be used to dry up a basement with poured and block walls. Block wall foundations have hollow cells that fill with water, creating hydrostatic pressure. Drilling holes into each cellblock just above the joint between the floor and walls will release the hydrostatic pressure and help prevent it from building up against a basement. It is not necessary to drill weep holes into every cellblock around the perimeter of a basement.
Poured wall basement foundations do not have hollow cells, like block wall foundation. When installing the SquidGee™ Dry System in basement with poured walls there is no need to drill weep holes into the walls, because there are not hollow cavities filled with hydrostatic pressure.
Before installing the SquidGee™ Dry Basement Waterproofing System, be sure to seal all wall cracks from the top down to within 4 inches of the basement floor. Don't seal the bottom 4" because the water needs to be able to flow freely into the SquidGee Dry™ System, making your once wet basement now DRY!
